Re: user directories through AD

Set to SMB.
Do I need to create something local to map the drive that runs on startup?

Mac is already bound to domain.
If you go to AD and look in User Properties / profile tab / home folder
(unc
path)
this home folder will not map.

Unc path has been double checked against actual path.

And is it set to SMB and not AFP? AFP will not work with Windows Servers
unless you have ExtremeZ-IP installed. You may also need to make sure
the home folder itself is a Windows Share. This works to correct some
situations. Not ideal but usually resolves the issue.

Hope this helps! bill
