You have probably found solutions to this a long tie m ago but I thought I
would send in m y two cents worth anyhow.
I had the same experocence with Tiger when I first upgraded was just as
frustrated as you are. However, after talking with some Mac folks and a guru
at the Apple store I tried one lat thing that made a world of difference.
If you install Tiger as an upgrade it does seem to cause some slow downs. I
highly recommend backing up ALL you important files and then doing an
"Archive" install (One of the install choices) Even better would be to
remove the operating system and a complete reinstall. I realize this is more
work, but I promise you will see a significant difference.
