Re: Can't See Shared Windows Printer

We have 5 Windows XP Pro machines that can print to a shared printer on a Windows XP Home machine.

Our Mac 10.3.9 machine cannot see the printer. Through the Mac printer setup application, I can see the correct workgroup for all the machines and can see the correct computer name of the XP Home machine in the list. When I click on the name, I am not prompted for User ID and password authentication and I do not see the attached printer - instead there is an empty window.

Any assistance is appreciated.

I had the same problem but the instructions contained here (http://homepage.mac.com/william_white/print_to_windows.html) worked for me on Panther even though it is written for Jaguar.
