Re: Mac OSX Active Directory Connection

Thanks again for your help Bill.

I seem to be making a little progress now. The Mac is now bound to the AD. I
think part of the problem was to do with the fact that the Directory Access
on the Mac wasn't implementing any changes that I made after a failed
attempt. When I restarted the Mac and then made the changes the binding
worked fine.

I thought after the binding process a home directory would be created, but
it hasn't. I can see the server in the Network on the Mac. I have logged out
and logged in under Others... Using my Active Directory username and
password, no home directory there either. Also in the Computers container
within Active Directory Users & Computers I deleteted the BARRYMAC that I
created there, thinking that It would be created using the binding process
but nothing was.

Is it possible to get to the AD using the local Computer Administrator
account that I used during the binding process. Or do I have to always have
to login on the Mac using my AD username and password?

Many Thanks,

Barry
