The age of the printer has little to do with it. I'm printing to two old
Apple LW printers, a IIg and a IINTX with no problems (as well as to two
Epsons).
On the other hand, if you scan the Apple discussion boards or the Adobe
forums, you'll see that over 95% of the printing problems experienced by Mac
users involve HP printers.
