Could be the API used by the application. I've noticed some MacOS X
applications only support filenames of 31 or less. Others have no
problem. Carbon vs. Cocoa maybe?

As I said, it's the Mac Finder.

The point is moot if this is a VPC for Macintosh issue as Microsoft isn't
going to fix this in their dead product.

Do you get the same behavior with Parallels or Fusion on an Intel
Macintosh?

I don't own an Intel Mac ... yet, anyway.
