VPC 7 failure

My existing VPC 7 all of a sudden stoped loading, giving an "Isass.exe
System Error: Insufficient system resources to complete the API"
message.

I was able to reinstall VPC7 and Windows XP Pro, which works fine, but
my old version with all my files still refuses to open. As I haven''t
been aable to find any troubleshooting reference to the situation,
does anyone have any suggestions?
