Well there are commercial products that use QEMU with nice GUI front ends.

I've not used OpenOSX since then went from BOCHS to QEMU. I have the latest
iEmulator and it works pretty good. And for about $20 it's not that bad a
price either.

But having said that VPC 7.02 does the best job speed wise and is more
polished all the way around.
