I have VIRTUAL PC FOR MAC, with XP, installed on an APPLE G4 eMAC.
using netscape and safari together with MAC OS X .3.9
I open the PC List & double click the virtual machine.
Then I click 'start up'.
A page appears which says, To begin, click your user name.
After the word adminstrator, there is a box which says,
"type your password"
There is a small icon of a quitar, a box for typing in and a box, with
a green background, with an arrow for clicking on.
Since I do not recollect this password I am unable to click the arrow
in order to continue. It has been many months since I have activated
this Virtual Machine For Mac application ; naturally, in the
interim, I have misplaced the password.
Problem:
Where, in the system files, is the password to be found ? In
otherwords, how do I navigate in & through the vast system files, in
order to recover the page with the password on it?
Help!!
Thank you very much for your patience and assistance in this 'finding-
of-my-password' matter.

Try leaving the password blank and log in. If that does not work, you
are SOL and will need to create a new virtual machine. There is NO way
to retrieve the password from outside the application
.
