I've installed VPC 7.0.2 with WinXP on a Mac OSX G5 (10.4.8, Dual
2.3GHz, 1GB DDR2 SDRAMPPC) and am trying to activate WinXP online. I
get an error saying that online registration is not available at this
time. I've enabled Shared Networking to use NAT to share the Mac's
TCP/IP connection. When trying IE, the default startup page
www.microsoft.com/mac/can't load, but I'm able to load simpler pages
like google and use with no problem.

Any ideas to remedy or am I stuck activating via telephone? I'm not
interested in accessing the internet through VPC/Win after I've
activated WinXP, so this isn't all that important. But I'd like to be
able to do this with as little effort as possible.Deinstall VPC and don't bother with it at all. That's the "little
effort as possible", but you made this a constraint.

Seriously, I found VPC 7.02 will only work with the networking set to
Virtual Switch. Try setting that in the PC Settings menu, then start XP.
