Re: Must Be Admin, I AM ADMIN!

I assume you mean that Windows wants you to log in as administrator. The administrator is the one with the final say for logging in and passwords - in other words the owner of the computer. Otherwise, there is no difference between an admin account and a standard account.

If you do not want to be prompted for a password when you log in/start up Windows, go to your Win Control Panel > User Accounts. Click on Administrator, then Create a password. Type in the password you used when installing VPC, then leave the new password fields blank. You will no longer be prompted for a password when you startup.

If your problem is that your Mac OS is stating you need to provide a password in order to install the program, that is standard and will happen for any program you try to install on the Mac. If you didn't setup a password, then find out who did and get the password in order to install the program.

When I try to install Virtual PC on my G5, non-Intel, it says I have to
be logged in with an administrators account. I am the only
administrator!! I go to accounts and yup, only me as admin. I have one
other user and it just says standard for them but Admin for me. What
gives? I tried un-installing and re-installing to know avail. Help!

Something went wrong with the original installer. Insert the first
installation CD. Open the Manuals & Tools folder. Uninstall Virtual PC.
Restart your Mac. Try the installation again.
