Re: Install won't work - says I'm not administrator

Well, as I didn't notice any solution/response from a guru yet, here's
another thought from me for what it's worth.
From your first posting in this thread, I get an impression that you're
believe you're logged in as an administrator in Safe Mode.
That implies to me that one has to log in when Safe Mode starts. Does one
have to log in then? If not, would that explain why Safe Mode tells you
you're not logged in as an administrator?

Yes, I am the administrator. I purchased the computer and I live
alone, so there's no other possibility. I did set up an account for my
nephew so he can play games when he comes to visit, but I'm definitely
not booting up in his account. I'm logged in under my name, which
again, is the only possibility for the admin account. In fact, my
computer is set up to force a user to login at startup, so I have to
choose either my account or the "Kids" account. (And I already tried
setting up an automatic login to my account, and that doesn't make a
difference during the install process.) Thanks for your suggestion,
though.
