On an external drive, I have a 80GB file, but when I share the folder
as a drive, I can't see the same contents, namely the file has shrunk.
So, on the Mac I see this...
Biko:/Volumes/Big sck$ ls -la
total 156301528
drwxr-xr-x 6 sck sck 204 Apr 20 10:42 .
drwxr-xr-x 7 sck sck 238 Apr 18 17:15 ..
-r--r--r-- 1 root sck 80026361856 Apr 19 10:56 Hitachi.dd
Biko:/Volumes/Big sck$
But on the PC I see this...
Z:\>dir
Volume in drive Z is Big
Volume Serial Number is 3494-5544
Directory of Z:\
04/19/2006 10:56 AM 2,716,950,528 Hitachi.dd
3 File(s) 2,716,958,226 bytes
0 Dir(s) 51,948,146,688 bytes free
Z:\>
