That'd probably depend if you have drivers on
Windows that implement AppleTalk on the network
inteface. If you don't have the drivers, then you're
out of luck.
Firstly, you'll have to use Virtual Switch networking.
Shared Networking will prevent your printer driver
from communicating with network printers properly due
to the absence of broadcasting and NAT issues.
Secondly, you can only support printers that use
AppleTalk over Ethernet, because that is the only
mechanism you have to communicate to AppleTalk devices
on Virtual PC.
If you have both, you can try installing your printer
drivers (or use Windows' own PostScript printer drivers?)
and get Virtual PC to communicate to your printer
via Windows. When you see your printer in the network
and can print a test page, then kudos to you!
But, you may be better off using just print spooling
to dummy PostScript printers in Virtual PC and then sending
the PostScript job files to the printer via the Macintosh.
(Use Shared Folders to copy the job files over to the
Macintosh side.) The only thing that Windows needs to make
the correct PostScript job files is to install your printer's
PPD file so that Windows' printer drivers can create the
right PostScript job for your printer. Windows can use its
built-in PostScript printer drivers to print to a wide variety
of PostScript printers (AppleTalk or not), and you can give
Windows details about your printer so that the job file
can be used with your printer without obscure PostScript
errors.
One final note... the latest AppleTalk-based printer
Microsoft supported was the LaserWriter IINT(X)... for other
printers, you needed to use TCP/IP to talk to your printers
instead.
