virtual pc 7 and USB/COM ports

I have finally made the switch the Mac, and love it, tho I do miss
Windows Explorer and the ability to arrange windows so that files
always appear first no matter, however, here is my issue.

I have a Nokia 6800 phone. I was able to use IR to connect to it to
connect to the internet, but of course there is no software support for
Mac. I have Virtual PC plus the optional additions running plus MS XP
Professional running and downloaded the windows software from Cingular
wireless. So far so good. All of that works. However, the Cingular
wizard cannot find the Nokia phone even tho the data cable running from
a USB port on the Powerbook G4 is connected to the phone. Any
suggestions or is this an effort in futility?

One more thing. Does anyone have suggestions to tune Virtual PC for
Mac? I have to use it to run Access 2003 and both Virtual PC and
Windows are extremely slow. I have one gig of RAM and have partioned my
hard drive into 3 drives.
