If it's coming up with the message 'You need to select a valid port for
the foot pedal', as you state, then it would seem that it DOES
recognize it. Otherwise, how would it know it was a foot pedal? I
believe that it may be asking you to attach it to a port. In that case,
go to PC/PC Settings and attach it to COM1 port. See if that helps
.
