Audio driver change with installation of VPC7

I installed VPC7 and it did something to my audio setup on my Mac. I
use live365 music player. Right before the installation it worked fine.
After the installation of VPC7, the audio has poping and skipping and
in general sounds lousy. I have confirmed the culprit to be VPC7 as I
replicated this two times, (by wiping my drive and reinstalling
everything). As usual it looks like Microsoft is doing something at a
very low level and being hush....
Even when I uninstall the package with the provided uninstaller, the
audio is still bad for ANY online music that uses streeming. Has
anybody out there found a way to correct Microsoft's alteration of
audio (or whatever) setup on a Mac.
Background info.
Hardware:
G5, 1.5GB Ram, 160Gb HD. Everything else stock. No additional drivers
of any kind added.
Software:
Panther 10.3.9 installation.
live365
VPC7 with 7.01 update.
I really don't want to reinstall again. Anybody out there know what
Microsoft is up to with this?
