Thank you Pete -- and everyone else who posted -- for your helpful and
informative advice. I did run a search for virus and came up with 28
or so hits, so I have my reading load cut out for me for the next
while.
However, since you were so specific I thought it best to follow up on
the leads you mention: what "other" security stuff should I be worried
about? Installing SpyBot S&D, Adaware, and ZoneAlarm seems like a lot
of work and I don't know what they do. Do you consider all of this
necessary precautions? It would seem there may be more out there, too.
What do you think?
When all is said and done, working with a Mac is relatively simple
compared to Windows.
