I have not been able to get SQLserver to load under VPC 6 (although the
desktop version does load OK... But that does not give me enterprise manager
which I need). Office, Access and IIS all work fine (while slower than on a
fast PC, in most cases you won't really notice it..... Except if you are
doing massive Access data manipulations, etc.) Studio.Net loads and runs
fine, but slow.
If you are going to spend your whole day working in these environments, I
would say get a PC. The slowness will bother you (it did me for me, until my
percentage use of these items dropped). If you are only working on these
items 50% of the time or less, than the Mac will be fine. Another option
(one which I use along with VPC) is to use remote desktop to connect to a
cheap PC where you are doing the heavy .NET and Studio work.
