Hi,
This is probably simple, but I didn't know who else to ask. When I
switched to Mac (recently) I now can't use my scanner, digital
camera, etc. Will getting Virtual PC allow me to run these things
again? Also, since I'm financially challenged (a euphamism for
"poor") I would be buying an older version on eBay - something in the
neighborhood of $20.00 or so. Does anyone have a recommendation on
which older version I should get? I really don't care if I have all
the windows offerings (such as word programs), just want to run my
hardware & peripherals. My mac is a G3 Powerbook Pismo laptop, 2nd
version, running OSx Panther. My old PC (that runs the scanner &
camera) was using Windows 98 SE.
Also, unrelated, I was hoping to use my big LCD monitor with my
little mac laptop, too. It's made by Envision Peripherals, Inc.
Their website said I could use it on my Mac if I got the Mac plug and
play thing from the Mac site. (to load the driver, I assume). I
don't know what this means. The driver disk for the monitor just
works with windows, but the site said I CAN use the monitor on my Mac,
if I can just figure out what the plug and play thing is and how/where
to get it. I'm sure you can tell I'm a real rookie on such matters.
Please excuse my lack of knowlege. I'm one of those "older" folks who
was not raised on computers.
Thanks a million, zillion!!! :)
