Canon iP5000 Printer

Hello - Just today I purchased the above named printer. I am using a
Microsoftworks spread*** in Mac OS 9.2, it prints the data but will
not print the lines surrounding the data. Can any one help me with
this problem? The printers I have previously used printed without any
problem but this one won't. Please help!!!
