Can at least help you on item 3. According to Symantec, Antivirus, Personal
Firewall, Systemworks will not run in a Virtual Machine environment. (I had
the same problem with Norton as well.) At first ran an older version of
McAfee Antivirus, but then tried PC-cillin 2005. So far it is running
perfectly in Virtual PC 6.1 (waiting on the version 7). There is none of the
slowness which was occuring even with Macafee. Even better is that it not
only supplies virus protection, but is also a firewall, antispam and
antispyware app all in one. The price is right too, Under $50.00 (US).

You can download a 30 day full function version from the trend Micro Web
site (www.trendmicro.com). If you like it you can then purchase a licence for
it which will remove the 30 day limitation.

    Hope this works for you.
