It's been a pleasure - I only regret that we couldn't provide a more timely
solution to what must be a frustrating situation.
The most certain & trouble-free way to be sure you get the updates is to
have AutoUpdate set to automatic using a time frame of your choice - I have
mine set to Monthly. If you aren't familiar with it just go to any Office
app's Help> Check for Updates, select the Automatic option in the dialog
that pops up, then choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly from the list.
Alternatively you can always check manually or visit the Mactopia web site
Downloads page at your convenience:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/default.mspx
As far as knowing of its existence, it isn't a matter of great insight or
"insider trading". In the case of updates it's a no-brainer - the fact is
they're *inevitable*... it's just a matter of when the next one will come
along & what it will address:-) It's typical for a major update to follow a
new release 90-120 days following the release date (which was Jan. 15).
