I just read further troubling news on Macfixit. They report that
Entourage 2008 does not import Entourage 2004 Rules. I have probably
over 100 rules, that is a major problem. Can anyone confirm this?
Users are reporting rules come over, but they do have to open each and
reselect folder destination. Folder ID change requiring this action.
I imagine you could greatly reduce your number of rules if you used
categories. I'll be happy to help you reduce your rules with some examples
of how you have created your rules.
Thank you. Well I use rules for all kinds of things -- filtering
messages into particular boxes, replying with scripts, etc etc. I
don't know about categories, I will look into it if you don't reply
with some suggestions.
Also, it appears there is no way to disable the Office notifications in
2008. Is this true?
No.
While I like MacFixIt, it often tends to emphasize the negative. The
hundreds of users that have no problems don't get reported.
OK then, how do you turn them off?
Thanks.
