Have you moved the program files from their original locations? I seem to recall a problem with iWork '08 (yes, I know that's from Apple) that gave an almost identical error message. moving the files back to whatever locations they had been installed to originally helped. Might be worth a shot...

No, I have not moved the files from their original location, allthough I had moved the autoupdate.app. But this is back in place and updated to version 2.1.1.

Funny thing is, the autoupdate tells me that there is no update available...
