Licensing Issue

I recently purchased a new mac. My old mac is still on the network.
I installed Office 2004 on my new computer (the Office 2004 box said I
had 3 licenses).

When I try to use the programs, it gives me a message that Office is
already in use and it does not open any of the applications. I don't
have Office open on any other machine on the network and I still get
this message. Even if I did have it open on the other computer, it
should allow me to have 3 operating at the same time - right? This is
not making any sense to me, however there is one thing that I did that
may have messed this up a little.

I originally installed the program on the new computer with a newly
created user that I set up when I turned the computer on for the first
time. When I transferred my old user (and all my old data) over to my
new computer, I deleted the new user that I created when I first set
up the new mac and installed Office.

If this caused the problem how do I rectify it?

Finally, is there anyway I can go into each version and verify the
Product Key for that version?

Thanks,
.
