I am still having trouble though. Let me go though what I did.
1. I went to "Delete these files in ~/Library/Caches:
com.microsoft.browserfont.cache, tasmanbrowser.cache" but found none
with these names.
2. I went to "Office stores it's fonts in the Microsoft Office 2004/
Office/Fonts folder. I believe you can trigger a first run by removing
this preferences folder (the ³Microsoft² located under ³/
your_user_name/Library/Preferences/²)." But found no microsoft folder
to remove.
3. I ran "Disk Utility" and fixed permissions like the instructions
said to before updating. I downloaded the Apple Combo updater. Updated
my files. Restarted the computer. Entaorage still works fine.
Additionally, Excell and Powerpoint lauch and work fine. Word does
not.
4. I re-read instructions for updating and it said to run disk utility
before updating and after. So I ran disk utility again and fixed
permissions. Now, Entourage is still working fine. Excell and
Powerpoint will no longer lauch. Word is launching and working fine.
I cannot figure out why the programs would switch around like that. Do
I need to run the updater again? Also, when I checked the info for
all programs, they still say version 10.0.0. Should they say 10.4.9 if
the updater worked?
