Re: Love the idea but need a little help

If you're referring to Windows XP Professional X64 you're in the wrong
lace - this is the Mac Office newsgroup.

Not that you aren't welcome here, but you will probably get better results
if you start at;

We recently, and finally, isntall the x64 bit OS. And are very excited on
the capabilities that it will allow us to do. After installing we found a
few problems that I came to find out are general problems with x64. I have
scoured the internet and extended64.com/amd64.com/microsoft tech articles/
to
no resolution. I hopeing the MVP's can direct me to a resolution. i dont
want to have to call and use up one of my 5 non-criticial system problems
through microsoft partners.

My first problems is of course NOT ONE company supports wireless adapters.
I have tried every combination recomended by other user for certain
wireless
adapters using certain drivers; to nbo avail. So far we have tried three
different adapters per recomendations of other users. Belkin/ Netgear
(yuck!) / linksys (dbl yuck) Do you ahve any recomendations for anyone
wireless adapter internal or USB that will work in the x64 enviroment?

Second, we are using the Asus p5wd2 Premium MOBO, and I have downloaded
the
x64 bit drivers for there onboard sound card. But i am still getting a
warning for the digitial sound bus, and no sound is coming out. Any ideas
on
this??? I tried calling asus tech support but ironically they were having
phone problems in tech support (lol)

Finally, and really the most important because the other two we can get
around to but this is what is really needed out of this computer. We
installed the x64 general hp drivers for printers. When we test print we
are
getting garble. I am about to go seriously take a look at that problem
and
have not contacted HP yet, but since i was already here i was wondering
what
you guys think about this. Am i missing something?

At the very least i need the printers to work, if thats ok i will switch
the
network adapters to lan and yell at ASUS for there crappy drivers.. THANKS
GUYS you have always been a help in the past in expert chat zone.
