Hi,
The Office 2004 part of Office Professional will run on the MacBook, but the Virtual PC Portion will not. I don't have an Office Professional install CD or a MacBook to try it on, but I do know that any attempt to run Virtual PC on any Intel Processor based Mac will not work at this time.
I would exchange the Pro version for the regular verison and wait for the next version of Virtual PC. No timetable has been announced for VPC for the duo-core Macs yet.

Hi, I just got my macbookpro and tried to install Office:Mac 2004 Professional Edition.... but I was unable to choose the Office Setup Assistant from the menu. Alternatively, my macbookpro also seemed to having trouble reading the installation CD because it took a very long time (and still is running now...) preparing to copy Microsoft Office 2004 onto my Macintosh HD..
I've waited for approx. an hour, and it is still preparing to copy 14 items from my installation CD.
I would like to know if its the CD that is faulty, or is it because Office:mac 2004 professional edition is not compatible with the new intel-based macbookpro...
