Mac Laptop, Good Handheld

I'd love opinions on the value of holding out a few more weeks to buy
the new MacBookPro, or just buying a current iBook or Powerbook.
What's the significance of this new Intel processor? Will buying a
current mac laptop without the intel processor be a poor idea??
Does anybody know of a way to work with a Mac Laptop while typing
outdoors on a sunny day and still be able to see the screen?
Do any models offer light-up keys (as cell phones do) for typing in the
dark?
What handheld synchs best with Mac?
Can I work on Word docs back and forth whether I'm on the handheld or
the laptop? (Do handhelds run a Word Program, like MS Word, or on
simpletext?)
You know those 'tablet' PCs where you can could draw and it appears on
the laptop's screen?
Does Mac sell a tablet accessory I could plug to my laptop and my
own sketch would then appear on my screen and also be emailable?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY/ALL ADVICE!!!!
