I'm working on a brand new IMac G5 using OS X 10.4.3. I installed MS Office 2004 and now I can't find Appleworks 6 via either Finder or Sherlock. My kid uses Appleowrks in school so I'd like ot find it for him. Thanks for your help1Skobie
Just set up two new iMac G5s a week or two ago. I believe AppleWorks was installed on them when I set them up. I had to reload one though and seem to remember that AppleWorks was not set to install be default. I had to customize the installation to install it. I just looked on the disk and noticed there is also a "Bundled Software Only" installer.
And a quick check of the Support site turns up these reinstall directions: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300316
You can also install Disc 1 and do a spotlight search using "appleworksus" (US English) in the search box.
