I tried the mail to links in Safari and they work correctly, I can
determine which email app (Mail or Eudora) is used using the default app
pref pane.

Making a mail to link in Word and clicking it also opens the correct app
as defined by the default app pref pane.

Logging out / in does not seem to be necessary. For the mail to links
mentioned above it switches on the fly. When I was setting the default
app before, even a system restart did not change Office behaviour.

So where does THAT leave us??!!
