Hi,

If sometimes Office preferences are corrupted then we may come across such
errors.

Try deleting Office preferences. You can find this under following location.

<hard disk>/Users folder/Home folder (folder with a Home
icon)/Library/Preferences/Microsoft

Try moving complete Microsoft folder from the above location to the desktop
and try opening office applications and check.

Hope this resolves your issue.
