I didn't trash the plugin. I put it back when the update still
wouldn't work when it was removed. I don't know how to 'Get Info'
(this is my first Mac after many years using PC's . . ), I did click
the 'About Word' in MS Word and it says: "Microsoft Word X for Mac
Service Release 1"
The only difference removing the plugin made was that the error #
listed above appeared (after the plugin was removed).
Before I removed the plugin an error message came up that said I
didn't have Office v X on the system OR I had stopped the update OR
I was using a program that didn't require the update.
