Open your Normal.dotm template, make the change, and save it.

When I create a new document the paper size is 6" x 8" and I can't find a way
to make it larger. Page Setup says the paper size is 8.5 x 11, but it's not.
How can I make the paper/page size 8.5 x 11 and reset this as default?
