Unfortunately, Copy/Paste within Windows *or* Mac is not as simple as most
would expect. When docs containing pasted material go from one platform to
another it's even more probable that problems will arise... Partial proof is
right there in your own experience - the Inserted images were fine because
Word "absorbed" the necessary additional information about the images & was
able to pass that on when opened in WinWord. When pasting on either platform
Word doesn't get that additional data. The pasted images - well, all Word
has to go by is what the operating system's clipboard has to offer, which is
different on Macs than on PCs.

I made a document in MacWord. I put photos into it. I tried to print it from
WinWord 2007. The pictures that I had put in through Insert Picture appeared
but some pictures I had put in through Copy-Paste and they did not show.
Actually Copy-Paste pictures also were 3 times bigger than the ohters.
How come?
