Hi Carla -
What you describe is usually symptomatic of insufficient memory - I know 750
MB may sound like a lot, but for Tiger & Office it really isn't enough. For
example: Right now I'm running OS X 10.5, Word 2004, Entourage 2008 & Safari
3.0.4 with practically *nothing* open in either app [blank doc in Word, 1
window/1 tab in Safari, just basic newsreader activity in E'rage] & memory
consumption is a touch over 1 GB.
If you can boost your RAM to 1-1.5 GB I would expect the problem to
disappear. If you can't increase your RAM just be sure you're not running
anything other than "bare essentials" & be prepared to restart periodically.

I just installed Tiger 10.4.11 on my G4 i-mac, 750 RAM, plenty of
space on hard drive. I'm using Ms Word/Office 2004, fully updated.
After the system upgrade, I can't paste copied Word text into my e-
mail, or vice verso. And I can't paste copied text from Internet text
to Word either. Actually, I can do it a few times just after I've
restarted, but that's it. Copy/paste worked fine in Panther, except
sometimes after Word got really tired. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Carla
