Yes, we are all "waiting" for 12.1. You don't have it yet :-)
What we have is 12.0.1. It was a very minor patch to fix the easy ones
first. The real fix pack is coming as a "Service Release". I am not sure
when: we have no information on their timing. I am guessing June.
The way to report bugs is to use Help>Send Feedback. Putting them in here
is not the way. The only people reading in here are fellow users. If you
use "Send Feedback", your post goes straight into the Microsoft bug
database. One issue per post is good, so they can send it to the correct
team.
If you have the capability to write use cases and test cases, and you would
like to email me your real details, I will put your name forward for the
next beta program. I hope you also have a very, very high tolerance for
"pain". You think this thing is rough now, you should have seen it in beta
:-)
Mind you, if I had been the test manager on this project: *I* would have
pulled this from shipment. It was nowhere near ready... And I said so at
the time (and got ignored...) :-)
Cheers

Yeah this makes office virtually unusable. I waited for 12.1 before upgrading
away from Office 2004. The issues I've seen are:
-Documents not staying in their correct space
-After opening a second document, you cannot always (usually) get to it.
Window->Doc Name does not give it focus, if you can see it behind the
foreground doc and click on it, you can't see it. Need to do a kabuki dance of
leaving the space and coming back to try and get it open.
Whether or not this was supported with Office 2004, my apps bound to spaces
and worked correctly every time. There are many, many other bugs:
The toolbox will often 'blank out', where it's just an empty gray box.
Clicking on it restores the contents of the box.
Word art/charts created in Windows Word (specifically 2007) are distorted and
flattened once opened on Mac. Save, send back, cannot be edited.
Obviously, this was a huge endeavor, and most of the functionality is there,
but some little issues cause big problems. How about a way for users to report
and check status of bugs without writing a note in forums? I'd be happy to
write use cases for issues and beta test new builds -- clearly there isn't
enough test coverage.
