Re: Watermark in header of document.

Hi Michelle -

Based on what you describe the first thing I'd check is whether there might
be an updated driver available for your printer... If the image looks OK in
the other 2 views Word is seeing the image info correctly & that's the info
it's sending to the printer. If it isn't printing correctly (as evidenced in
Print Preview, which is generated by the driver & OS X print services) it
suggests that either the printer or the driver aren't *receiving* that info
well or that the OS isn't current.

Also, do you have Office fully updated (11.3.7)? How about OS X - is it
up-to-date (10.3.9 or 10.4.10)?

Other possibilities exist, but these are by far the most likely. If the
problem persists please supply more information about the update status as
well as what happens if you try to print other images or the same image in
another doc, what type of image, how the image was added, if the file was
created on Mac or PC, etc.

I have a graphic set as a watermark in the header of my document. When I
print it from school (on a Windows machine), the watermark prints fine.
When I print it from home (on my Mac), it prints the graphic in mostly bold
blue colors (even though the watermark of the graphic is actually mostly
reds/pinks).

My printer is not out of ink--it does print portions of the graphic red,
just not all of the appropriate sections. And it's not lightening the
graphic as a watermark should. It looks fine when I'm page layout and page
preview, but when I do a print preview, you can tell that's it's getting
ready to print the bold/blue graphic. I've checked the picture formatting
and I do have is set as a watermark.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
