Toolbar Icons Disappear

Vertical toolbar icons disappear!! Bug?
If switching between applications, the icons on the toolbar often
disappear when
Word is activated again. Running the cursor over the toolbar from top
to bottom
will make them magically appear again, though I doubt this is what MS
intended.
This must be a bug.

This has been posted by someone 2004 and someone at MS acknowledged
that they are working on it. Now we are in 2007. Hey, is such an
annoyance so unimportant or so difficult to fix that it takes three
years? I might have a look at NeoOffice to see if that works better.
