Dear Anup,
You've landed in a discussion group for users of Mac versions of Word; we
don't have Word 2007.
Although there are several people here who are experts in both Mac and PC,
and they may come by soon, you're likely to get quicker results in a
discussion group for PC Word. Start here:

Hi All,
Found one thing in Word 2007 Ultimate Edition:
When we insert single line through "Insert tab - Shapes", we cannot apply
styles to that line as it was working previously in word 2003
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Go to Insert tab - Shapes - select one single line and draw it
Right click on inserted line - Format Autoshapes - Colors and Lines
You wont be having options to apply style to that line
However, in word 2003, we can do the same and apply styles.
Note: If we draw any line in word 2003, apply styles in word 2003 and copy
that line in word 2007, we can use style feature in word 2007 by highlighting
that line
.
