Hello!
Can anybody help me please?!
I have a Word document that will go through several processes of using the
'track changes' facility.
What I need to know is whether it is possible to have each version of 'track
changes' - ie progressive changes - in different colours, for example the
first changes to the document might be tracked in red, the second changes to
the document in blue and so on.
Is this possible?
I hope to hear from anybody as soon as possible!
You could edit each revision as a different Mac account user? Each user
can have her own track colour in Word's prefs.
It's an ugly hack, but I think it will work.
I think you are asking for trouble. Track changes is not the most
stable piece of bloat in Word. Make plenty of backups.
Hah! A possible better way of doing something similar!
Use the compare documents feature of track changes with suitable
historical copies from the revision cycle. Not exactly what you asked,
but a lot more manageable.
