Hi Dodge,
If the "Change All" that PhilD suggested doesn't work, you'll have to use
the Remove Office tool to remove *all* versions of Office and then reinstall
Office X.

User had Office/Word vX Mac - in setting up a new iMac - before Office vX was
migrated over, user somehow downloaded and ran a test drive of Word 2004.
Even though we ran Office removal tool - and then migrated vX... when one
double clicks a Word document - it refuses to open, instead giving an error.
If one forces the Open With in Get Info to the Word vX version - it works -
but only on that one changed document.
Is there a way to get the reference, the memory of Word 2004 ever existing -
out of the system somehow - of course without wiping and reinstalling
everything on the computer? Some pref file that can be edited? Something to
make this Mac forget about the test drive version? Help!
