Hi Rafael,

Bob is referring to the Mac OS X Help (in the Finder, click on Help>Mac
Help), and that's where it should be. Basically, when you hit the print
button in Word, Word calls on the system to provide the printer settings. In
other words, Word has nothing to do with the Print dialogue menu you can
see; that's OS X's, and Word only transfers its current document to the
system's print routine. You can compare it to the Open/Save dialogue in Word
or most other OS X applications: when you click on File>Open, or File>Save,
the dialogue that shows up is not Word's, but OS X's, invoked by Word.
That's the reason why you find little to no information on these dialogues
in Word's help function; they are simply not part of Word itself.

While I do have my problem resolved, still, I'm interested in what "Word
Help" has to offer, and I searched all over, up and down, for what you have
found in a Help search, and I cannot find it. I even looked at each sub
topic under each item headed 'Print" and did not find "Saving a group of
print options as a preset"

Glad you got it resolved.

Not as an insult, but OS X Help does address the issue... At least in the
version I currently have. If you do a Help search for the word print, one of
the topics that gets listed is "Saving a group of print options as a
preset", but it's near the bottom of the list :)
