Actually, I think Google *was* having some server problems this
morning... if you notice, my first reply posted some 2 hrs. later than
my second. There were also some other issues along the way, but, you're
right, the link was only partially active.

If you are forced to work on a PC (like at work) Outlook Express 6 works
nicely with newsgroups. That is what I use when at work (remember....work
is a FOUR LETTER WORD)!! Mac is only three. ;-)
Netnewswire works quite well http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/ and there is a
lite version that is free. Full featured demo gives 30 days to test drive
as well.
