Hi Beth and Elliott. No luck with anything I've tried. Here's the
history:
1. Tried trashing Word/Office preferences - no luck
2. Tried renaming Normal Template in Word X to "old normal," then
dragging "normal" template in Office 2004 to desktop, then restarting
Word to get new template - no luck.
3. Also, I don't know if the above is when it happened, but now I am
getting two Office Notifications, I suspect that both Office X and
Office 2004 are notifying me and one of them needs to be disabled.
4. Trashed Home/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office Font Cache (11)
as directed by Beth (did not trash the . . . Office Font Cache (10)) --
no luck
5. Ran Font Finagler to trash all caches - no luck.
6. Disabled duplicates as follows: compared what's in Font Book with
what's in Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Fonts. Used
"resolve fonts" to keep the latest version and disable the earlier
version. All the latest versions were in User/Library/Fonts rather
than root/library fonts. I assume that based on what Elliott posted
that Office 2004 placed the latest fonts in user/library/fonts area
(rather than root/library/fonts) - no luck.
7. Bullets, etc. work fine if I open Office X. They just don't work in
Office 2004. Also, I'm now getting duplicate office notifications as
mentioned above.
Can you think of anything else I could do? Thanks. Branton
