Are you sure you're not just seeing the usual "..." for attachment names
when they're too long for various display headers. What happens when the
recipients save the attachments - don't they see the full names?
You haven't given a single example or detailed description of what you see
at which stage of the adding attachments, sending them receiving them,
saving them, opening them process.
