Hi Mervin,
In addition to what John said ... I'm not clear on something. It sounds as
if you're only having the problem when trying to open or save a particular
Word document, not *any* Word document. I may be misreading you but if not,
perhaps you're dealing with a corrupt document.
To eliminate that as a possibility, turn on Show/Hide formatting and
carefully copy all but the last paragraph mark of the problematic document.
Then open a blank, new Word doc and paste. Now do a Save. Is that any
better?
Also, while your OS is outdated, as John says, your version of Word (10.1.4)
is up to date. The Office 10.1.5 updater doesn't make any changes in Word
so its version number stays at 10.1.4. If you're fully updated, Excel and
Power Point should show at version 10.1.5; Word and Entourage at 10.1.4.
