Hi Jeff,
Do you want to keep other Office applications (like Entourage or Excel) or
do you want to remove all of Office? If the latter, use the removal tool
from the Office X CD.
If the former, it's more complicated since there are shared files (like the
Custom Dictionary, which lives in Word) which the other applications need.
You can, however, just drag the Word application to the trash and empty the
trash. You'll find more on manually removing components of Office X here:
