I created a P*ssport account to register my copy of Word, but entered
only the most basic required info--name and e-mail address. Since you
seem to be on a Wintel box, I can't say what happens, but as far as the
Mac is concerned, the P*ssport account does not gather any information.
Unless you're concerned that spammers might get ahold of your e-mail
address, you don't need to worry about security unless you enter info
like your credit card numbers.
